There are times where I find the actions of the Senate to be so breathtakingly lacking of any form or essence of sagaciousness that I am left speechless.

This is not one of those times.

Please, I would like someone, anyone, to answer this query:

Why would the Legislature champion a bill where the Court has already made a law, to ask the Governor to sign into law, thereby certifying ultra vires judicial activities?

Is it to authorize revenue-maximizing fraud schemes?

Sine die, sine die, sine die.

After a bit of checking around, the true purpose of this bill is to prevent the public and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from finding out that the entire process and the existence of the Michigan Children's Institute is illegitimate and to cover up the state's Mediciad fraud scheme.

See, once an adoption is finalized, documents validating the allegations of Medicaid fraud are quickly sequestered from public scrutiny, forever.

The passing of this bill would jeopardize new Medicaid policy initatives.
