 Good Bill! And I had almost given up on Jelinek passing anything not dealing with Parlak.

 Just more government intrusion in our private lives.  It may sound good on the surface but it is really just one more case of meddling in how businesses operate.

What should the government do? If they tell businesses they must allow patrons and employees to keep firearms in their parked cars on their property, they're violating the rights of the business. I they don't, the businesses are accused of violating the 2nd amendment rights of the individual.

My opinion is the 2nd amendment doesn't give citizens the right to take a gun on property the owner doesn't want guns on.

It's certainly about time someone recognizes the validity of the Bill of Rights.  Businesses and individuals, while they may THINK they have the right to usurp another's rights they in fact, constitutionally do not.

I applaud the common sense wisdom shown in this bill.

Remember - gun laws do NOTHING to deter crime; GUNS DO!

Great Statement,  I agree with everything needed to protect our rights and lives!  I carry everywhere possible and to be denied the right to leave my weapon in the car while I am working is wrong.

So, the question remains unanswered. Should this bill pass, it would usurp the rights of the business owner to not allow guns on their property. Without this bill, an individuals rights to bear arms are usurped if a business refuses to allow guns on their property. Whose rights do we honor, the property owner's or the individual? And whose rights do we deny?

Would we think about this differently if this bill was to prohibit homeowners from not allowing people to carry guns into their home?

Why don't you have the right to carry your gun into work?
