Sounds good to me.  The less Federal interference in our lives the better.

You have a new independent supporter in me. I have voted in every election except when I was out of the country serving with the U.S. Army as a civilian with our troops.   I recently read about your Bill # 5232 and congratulate you on this effort.  I will support you in all your future endeavours.  This is a very important Bill, that continues to let it be known that Americans appreciate and respect their Rights to Bear Arms.   No one and no government official should ever work to take it away from us.

I also am reading on recent activities of many organizations around the country, with the "Right to Open Carry"  laws.  Although my feelings are mixed about this, I think it is a logical extension of our 2nd Amendment also.  I would like to know what Phils position on this is.  From what I have read,  Michigan is an "Open-carry" State, but it has not been clearly publicized, so it is dangerous to do so, if you do not want a lot of attention.  Michigan legislatures should clarify this to all residents.    The KNOWN part of all this is that Americans want to feel safe, whereever they go.  They need to feel capable of protecting their families and loved ones.   Folks who have taken the gun safety classes and paid for the right to carry, are NOT the bad-guy criminals in the streets.  We are the ones who feel that quality of life includes feeling safe again.   Please advise on your opinion.

    God Bless American

This bill should move forward quickly, but I fear that Granholm would not sign it. No problem, she'll be out of office soon enough. An independent Michigan will join ranks with Texas, Tennessee and Montana, and others that have similar bills going through their state legislatures.

I too would like to add my support for this legislation. Keep the Feds out of our business!
