    2009 Senate Bill 539 (Give citizenship and Michigan resident preferences in film production subsidies )

    Introduced in the Senate on May 5, 2009, to give preference to recipients of “state film production subsidies ,” if, other things being equal, they promise not to hire illegal aliens and to take steps to hire only Michigan residents (or people who plan to become residents), with exceptions for “key management personnel” or “individuals with special skills,” and for productions made in communities near the state line

    The vote was 37 in favor, 0 opposed and 0 not voting

    Doesn't seem hardly fair, they won't ask the present POTUS to prove he is a citizen...................
