    Again, expand SPECIAL FAVORs to only those politically favored

    and to heck with the EQUAL PROTECTION under the law.

    another example of politics making economic choices, sinking Michigan further into the poor house.

    Rep. Genetski, having reserved the right to explain his protest against the passage of the bill, made the following statement:

    “Mr. Speaker and members of the House:

    I feel this money should be allocated to K 12 education instead of the new and unproven Centers for Energy Excellence. Sincerely- Bob Genetski”

     If these companies operate for profit freely, why are Michigan taxpayers giving special subsidies?  They should be investing based on their own models, from their own revenues.   Is this an end-run around the Michigan Public Service Commission?  What are they there for?

    If you must pass this, I need a million to invest in research on whether I save more energy sitting on the couch or in my comfortable chair.  The I promise to share the results with all the taxpayers of Michigan.
