 This is an important piece of legislation not only for clients' safety but for the physical well being of the caregivers.  If safe handling of clients is enforced, less on the job injuries are likely to occur.  On the job injuries create costs to everyone.

 I also believe that this is a critical piece of legislation.  As a healthcare provider I have witnessed many account where patient's were not handled appropriately often resulting in additional injuries that only add to delayed healing.  Requiring the committee to be comprised of a vairety of professionals including those that do the majority of the lifting is essential to incorporating safe practices on all levels.
