A primary, fundamentally, is nothing more than a race for a party endorsement.  This is why primaries should be closed, internal, party procedures and definitely not state-funded.  That said, there is no legitimate cause for banning any person from running in an election simply because they failed to be endorsed by the party.  There should be multiple "Republicans" and "Democrats" on ballot if people want to run and declare themselves as such.  That's the difference between ideological statement by party affiliation and outright party endorsements.

This Bill is a disgrace and so is his proposed policy.

Will these people ever cease trying to control the outcomes of elections by prohibiting legal candidates from running? This is truly disgusting!

I agree with both posters above, this is disgusting legislation.

    I am against this legislation.

A person who loses a primary election, thus losing that parties nomination, has the right to seek the office, as long as they meet the age and residence qualifications, as a write in. This bill seems an attempt to limit voter's choices.

one wonders if perhaps a write in candidate is in the offing.

This one doesn't wonder, or care.

This one thinks this bill is misguided. The more citizens running for an elected position, the better.

we understand that you don't care. but what makes you think that this bill is misguided? shouldn't citizens who wish to run obey the rules for running?

Seems to me like this bill would change the rules for running. At this time, nothing bans a primary loser from running as a write in.
