why don't we give the teachers the CHOICE to vote FOR OR AGAINST privatization?

michigan constitution,  article 1. Sec. 6.

Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state.

Oh sure.  Make sure that the teachers union keep their expensive bureaucracy in place.  Thus they can keep a strangle-hold on the taxpayers wallet, instead of having cost-effective services.  It is very obvious who Rep. Fred Miller (D) is looking out for.  Tell me, what happens if we have the vast majority of private sector jobs disappear down the rat-hole?  Who will then pay for the teachers union folly of protectionism at all cost?     No

This seems like a terrible bill at any time, but in this economy, it's even more irresponsible.

School districts are feeling the budget crunch like every other organization in this state.  Why should we allow teachers unions the right to bargain to limit a district's ability to use cheaper, private sources to fill their needs?  These aren't teaching positions in question.  Let natural supply and demand economics guide a district's choice of providers, not union politics.

Ah yes. another political attempt to strengthen the teachers unions. Screw the taxpayers. Let them lose their homes etc. Giving more muscle to the teachers unions by passing more laws prohibiting any economic choice that may benefit those not on the public payroll is what is needed.

This is outrageous! We taxpayers, especially ones who pay property taxes, (which I think fund over half of teachers wages) need to send a message to our so called 'leaders' in Lansing. "Were not gonna take it anymore!!!!!!!!!!!".

By the way, remember these 'hard working teachers' are about to go on a LONG(paid for) Summer vacation.
