Repeal this onerous tax NOW!  What's with the 50%?  Stop robbing citizens completely!

I don't even live in the stupid state and the FEE is stopping me from taking my husbands name!!! How can MI deny my constitutional right to take my husbands name! This law is dening my birth right as a united states citisen!!!

 I doubt this Repeal will go anywhere.  This state has a history of once a tax, fee, or extortion by the state is passed it never goes away, no matter how ridiculous it is.

I support this piece of legislation with no gimmicks to get the money elsewhere.

Repeal this odorous, penalty for getting a ticket and paying the fine.  This is a fine on top of a fine.  Repeal it now.

Six years of illegal taxes are enough! Not only do half of these fees go uncollected, but this tax is the most regressive tax anyone could imagine, disproportionately affecting the poor. This is a wealth and revenue killer, causing people to break the law to continue to work, creating new crimes and new fees that will go uncollected, eventually creating jailtime which is a net loss of revenue to the local government (or more uncollectable fees from the inmate): a vicious circle of revenue losses and criminal creation! Bad for everybody and way overdue for repeal!

 I'm extremely happy we have someone on our side. I'd like to know since its been passed both in the House & Senate to whom do we apply the pressure to make this bill law?
