The lack of definition of what "appears to be a firearm" is a bit disturbing and very vague. It my circa 1975 cap gun in my closet now at risk of turning me into a felon?

what would already turn the criminal into a felon (or a corpse) is pointing it at a policeman or an armed citizen. we don't need ANOTHER law to do that.

they don't need to KNOW it's a 'real gun', they just need to believe that it's a 'real gun'. after that they are perfectly able to shoot the criminal for the folly of pointing a cap gun at an armed citizen.

all guns are 'real' guns when they're being pointed at you menacingly. you seem to know enough not to do this without a law to tell you not to.

i do not support laws that make toy guns criminal. that is gun control at it's lowest.

if the criminals need a law to tell them that it's not a good idea to point a TOY gun at a guy who has a REAL gun, then they probably wouldn't survive the encounter anyway.
