Introduced in the Senate on September 11, 2008, to increase the annual snowmobile registration tax from $25 to $50 (or $35 if paid early). In 2011, 2012, and 2013 the tax would increase to $60 (or $45 if paid early); and in 2014 on $75 (or $60 if paid early). The bill would require the money be used for grants to tax-exempt entities to purchase land and secure easements to establish permanent public snowmobile trails

Bill 1490 & 1489. Both are after the money 1490 has future registration increase and a section where the funds can be directed away from the trails in the future. I am sure this is what the people that elected them wanted or they wouldn’t try to pass this. NOT, whose idea is this? In a struggling economy with high gas prices and so on, good idea to hit the people that voted you in with higher fees. I hope your wearing a ski mask when you pass this bill. Now is not the time for this. There is more important things to worry about this is not one of them.

 Great! Another increase! Yeah, just what we need!  We already cannot afford the catostrophic uninsured medical coverage imposed on us BY YOU and the Insurance Companies!  My motorcycle insurance is $190 a year...Guess how much that catastrophic uninsured medical payment is!!??? $150!!!!!!!! The other $40 IS my cost to insure the motorcycle! When will you overpaid Representatives ever learn!!?? REVENUE, REVENUE!!!  Tisk, tisk!  SHAME ON YOU!!!!! Whats next!!?? GO AFTER THE CRIMINALS FOR MONEY! Like, I have an idea!!  It just might work!  MAKE THE UNINSURED PAY!!  Wow, that took 2 seconds to enact!  Imagine that!!!??? What a joke!!!
