2008 House Bill 6366 (Allow no-bid school food contracts up to $100,000 )

Introduced in the House on August 13, 2008, to allow Intermediate School Districts (ISDs) to buy up to $100,000 of food in a single transaction without competitive bidding. Current law requires ISDs to seek bids on any purchase greater than $17,932. The bill also raises that margin for non-food purchases to $19,650

The vote was 106 in favor, 1 opposed and 3 not voting

(House Roll Call 726 at House Journal 75)

    Nope

Competition is good. I get bids for roofs, repairs and more. There can be a HUGE difference in what people will offer on the table, especially if they know you are getting bids from others. This is dumb legislation.

    Hey Mr. Hansen

do you own a small food service outfit? It is the only possible reason that anyone but an idiot would come up with excrement like this.
