Just what are you thinking, or are you thinking at all. If the taxes we pay right now were used for the purpose that they were intended for and not transfeered to another pet project there would be enough to fix our roads. You people seem to have nothing to do in Lansing other than to try to think up new ways to get more and more tax money out of us. Leave us alone. Try cutting spending on pet projects. We have to live in a budget why don't you try doing the same thing.

Time for citizens to bring this fraud to an end. The tactic of imposing socialism through taxation by elected politicians can be ended if enough people get angry.

If we don't approve this tax our roads will fall apart and we taxpayers will be responsible. Just like when we fail to pass millages and police get laid off - public safety suffers. I can't wait to hear the sales pitch on this one. The last poster hit the nail on the head. I'll bet the 1% we vote on will have a provision tied to it that allows it to be raised without voter approval.

the state government needs total reform.....pick an area....taxes....education....get off the tax hikes.....start with less spending of our money

There is no need for any additional tax revenue. Use what you already take to do what you should have been doing all along. You already have a gas tax, and a sales tax on the gas and gas tax as well. Use that for roads and stop wasting it on boondoggle people-movers, light rail games.

The sales tax alone on gas has doubled in the last year with the price of fuel.
