    2008 House Bill 6340 (Create “bias-motivated” crime )

    Introduced in the House on July 23, 2008, to authorize sentencing guidelines for the “bias-motivated” criminal offense proposed by House Bill 6341

    The vote was 82 in favor, 18 opposed and 10 not voting

    Stop It!

    We have enough laws on the books. Now you morons want the cops and prosecutor to decide what the bad guy was thinking when he committed the crime. Better take another look at the I.Q.'s of some of these folks also. Punish the crime, not the thought.

    Look at the sponsors. Will this law apply to the bias against caucasians too?

    One more slap at the Constitution!

    A crime is a crime-and should be treated EXACTLY like every other similar crime. This destroys the concept of equal treatment under the law and should NEVER be supported!
