    Tort Reform

How about reforming the Tort system so there are not so many fivolous malpractice lawsuits? Make the rewards reasonable instead of these multimillion dollar settlements and limit the rewards to actual loss, even if it includes loss of income? Get real !! Part of the problem with affordability is the cost of medical care and a good part of that is malpractice insurance.

Ask the medical fairy for help

Go ahead and add a constitutional amendment to end war, guarrantee happiness & the satisfaction of any possible desire of any person in Michigan, by magic. Please. The state can't afford to provide basic medical care to all, much less this open-ended embarrassment of a bill. More over, the state shouldn't provide medical care any more than it should provide free food with no calories, free transportation, free entertainment, free housing, or free anything else. All those "free" things cost someone else, probably the same people who want the freebees in the first place.

    no, mike.

it will cost those stupid enough to keep working here to pay the bill. those that want all the freebies have nothing better to do than sit down and suckle off the public teat. maybe they should teach those layabouts about what the founding fathers said about democracy, and why, because of that, we are a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.

    Why Do You Guys Think

that it is a good idea to steal my money to buy votes from someone that doesn't have health insurance?

    Constitutional Amendment - NOT!!!!!

Just how do you intend to have this paid for? Of the backs of Michiganders who are lucky enough to still be employed? On the backs of businesses that are still in business in Michigan who are already overburdened with the new business tax? What do you consider "through a fair and cost-effective financing system”? Your measure does not define “affordable,” “comprehensive,” “fair,” “cost-effective,” or “medically necessary.” This is the same language as that in the “Health Care For Michigan” petition initiative being promoted by various health care interests and advocacy groups. I do not think anyone should be supporting a Michigan Constitutional Amendment that is not defined and lays more costs on the already overburdened taxpayer, let alone on those retiree's on a limited budget. HJR WW is an open-ended nightmare. Everything that is free for one ultimately becomes a tremendous cost for another. Cut out Lansing's bureaucracy, perks, pork-barreling, unseemly benefits and perks and maybe the people could afford what they can't afford now!
