    More?

You want a local tax for this stuff now? Why not take it out of your pocket instead of ours?

    why?

I'm a great supporter of arts institutions. But if you don't think they can pass a property tax/special assessment now, what makes you think that the voters would approve an increased sales tax? This is a waste of time.

is it the job of the state

to take people's money to pay for art? i didn't think so.

    boy, this state

certainly has a legislature that is eager to do jobs that they are not supposed to do. they 'meddle' in things that are none of the state's business, and fail to do the day to day job of government. perhaps we should remind them of what the job of government is... or perhaps we should elect replacements who KNOW what the job of government is.

    Oh good God ALmighty...

If people want art then the arts will ably support themselves--without more redistribution of wealth enforced at gunpoint. This latest proposal from our Politburo is pure Bolshevist B S.
