D'oh! Nobuddy told me dat -

Oh Taaaan-ya - - Hel-lo. Most oil is imported, and most gas and electric is domestic (or from Canada. Yet your bill provides a subsidy to people who heat with fuel oil. Er, not good public policy, young lady. I know, you don' care 'bout no stinnkin' public policy - like 90 percent of your colleagues you only care about politics. But gee, I can think of some dandy negative campaign flyers based on this bill: "Tanya Schuitmaker wants to endanger America's security by increasing our dependence on foreign oil, making your children and puppies more vulnerable to terrorists and Halliburton. Joe Smith says 'no' to terrorists and Halliburton. Vote for Joe Smith."

    Exemption for fuel oil?

Why not carry this over to liquid propane gas as well? Why should only certain folks reap the rewards of tax exemption of a home ehating fuel or energy source? It is by no means fair to single out one means of home heating and letting the remainder of the general public foot the bill. Bad Bad Bad legislation. I guess we know this rep will not be getting re-elected.

Why should one utility be exempted from paying state sales tax? I say exempt all heating/cooling/lighting from sales tax as necessities of life.

Doesn't Hugo supply it free of charge? The tax is a small part to pay.
