Blah, blah, blah, All I read was the government wants more money so they've doubled and tripled permit fees, fines, jail time, blah, blah, blah...

Fee = Pass Thru Tax

Your government school graduate voter base will never know it, but the people who work for a living understand that a fee is a pass through tax. It will not be long untill all the working people revolt or leave the state.
