    2007 House Bill 5331 (Revise bobcat and bear hunting license provision )

    Introduced in the House on October 18, 2007, to eliminate the requirement that a person who participates in a bobcat or bear hunt but who does not carry a gun or shoot an animal must still have a hunting license

    The vote was 102 in favor, 0 opposed and 8 not voting

    Bad Idea

    How are the hunters going to humanely kill these animals without the use of a firearm. I am afraid that this amendment will encourage hunters to not use firearms to bypass the need for a permit, but will use slow and inhumane methods to kill the animal.
