    Disgusting

I watched one of these "sting" operations go down in Canton. The cops sent in this kid that looked to be about 30. The girl sold him smokes and then 4 jack booted canton cops rush in. The girl was in tears and now had a bill for 500 bucks to pay. I asked the cop how he can sleep at night and he told me it was easy since he was "saving the children'. We Are Doomed, The police state is already here.

    from a concerned parent..

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! It is hard enough being the parent of a teenager these days, let alone having some stranger undermind our efforts to keep our kids out of trouble and harm's way. Thank you for helping deter these people from suppling our kids with deadly health harming weapons! From a concerned Michigan parent.

    Idiot

They are not increasing the fines for you childs benefit. They are increasing it to get more $$$$$for themselves. Nanny State. You don't want your kid to smoke then teach them. Soon, Everyone not working for a gov agency in that sack of shit they call a state will be a criminal. Its just a matter of degree.

    Lest we forget

Let's not forget--the state was so troubled by the ill effects of smoking upon the public health, that when awarded its share of the Tobacco Settlement money, the state chose to dole it out as small stipends to college students (in other words, they bought votes with that money) rather than paying to improve the public health.
