Introduced in the House on July 24, 2007, to concur in a tribal-state gaming compact between the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians of Michigan (the Gun Lake Band) and the State of Michigan and signed on May 9, 2007. This would approve an agreement negotiated by Gov. Jennifer Granholm with the Indian tribe known as the "Gun Lake band," under which the state would get a portion of the revenue from a Gun Lake casino authorized under the federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988 (a matter over which the state has no authority)
The vote was 63 in favor, 41 opposed and 6 not voting
