    Way to go!

This bill ought to cause employers to flock to Michigan knowing they cannot refuse to hire people who may not be able to handle a certain job, now or one that may be offered in normal progession. That ought to help on insurance premiums too. Are the sponsors really trying to bring jobs to Michigan?

    What?!?!

We're in a state that has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country and we're going to tell employers that they can't be picky? Let's be honest here - Statistics have proven that obesity leads to health problems which cost more money for employers. If they can discriminate on education because additional training costs them more money, why can't they discriminate on physical health? If you lack the education, take some classes. If you're obese, lose the weight! It's that simple.

    Bad idea

Government intervention in businesses is almost always a bad idea filled with unintended consequences. Employees are free to work for who they please. If my employer started telling me how to run my life I would find employment elsewhere. Business are not afforded the same choices, they must comply or they are destroyed. More regulations on Michigan businesses is a bad idea.
