    The best you can do?

If this is the best ideas you can come up with it certainly justifies why we should vote OUT every person who is now IN. Maybe a new group could save MI because the existing one isn't.

    Gasoline tax increase

When will our politicans quit contributing to this states financial problems and when is enough, enough? We now pay .18 flat tax per gallon and 6% sales tax. At $1.50 this was .09 but at $3.50 it's .21 so instead of 27 cents tax on a gallon, it's now approximatley 39 cents. They say the gas tax hasn't changed in years but they don't say that the sales tax per gallon is 2 1/2 times greater. Also, is it really wise to kick a man when he's allready down?

When will our politicans quit contributing to this states financial problems and when is enough, enough? We now pay .19 flat tax per gallon and 6% sales tax. At $1.50 this was .09 but at $3.50 it's .21 so instead of 28 cents tax on a gallon, it's now approximatley 40 cents total tax. Let's Recall This RINO Nimrod

I think this guy must be drinking kool aid with queen jenny and her handler hubby. Maybe his district has gone "ann arbor" on us and he is pandering to the libs. Either way he needs to get a new job or at least put the "d" after his name.

Rep. Opsommer made the following statement:

“Mr. Speaker and members of the House:

While I agree that how we fund our transportation infrastructure is critically important, this is part of a package of bills that have been brought forth this evening that have been substituted and/or amended in a manner that has not been shared with the House as a whole. In some cases, it has become evident after the fact that they are being substituted in a manner so that they actually have the opposite of the initial purpose of the bill. As such, I can not vote on a bill without knowing its true content, and I wish to thank Rep. Vagnozzi for pointing out that the majority of members are being asked to vote on these bills without knowing what they accomplish.

Before we can consider raising gas taxes, registration fees, or other hardships onto Michigan’s citizens it is important that we first ensure that the equivalent of all gas tax monies be spent on road funding, and that the road funding money we generate is not being diverted for other purposes. For that reason I am in support of my bills that would create the Priority Now! Transportation fund, HB 6520, HB 6521, and HJR NNN to establish a baseline for how much transportation money we currently should be using.”

     increasing gas taxes: democrat scam

re-distribution of wealth is happening here once again. with no guarantee of using the money to actually DO what they try and lie to us is the original intent for the money. it WILL get dumped into the general fund and squandered.

    they can't resist.
