Notarized signature requirement for County transfers

Bureaucracy. There are problems with the wording in this bill and the fact that the County Board of Commissioners approves the annual budget. The transfers in question should already be included in the budget or be amended to reflect such by the County Board. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT: Sec. 40a. In addition to the requirements of section 40 and any other requirements provided by law, an order or resolution of the county board of commissioners authorizing the transfer of $10,000.00 or more from any county fund or account shall include a notarized signature for each of the following: (a) The county treasurer. (b) The chairperson of the county board of commissioners, the county controller, or the county clerk.
