I wonder what chance this bill has of passing now that a 16 year old is charged with killing an Oak Park policeman?

In my opinion, it would be sick and wrong if this punk got a chance at parole after only 10 years. He deserves prison until death.

now, objectively, leaving personal feelings aside, please list the reasons you wish to ban life in prison sentences for juveniles.

i can think of no reasons that are not swimming in emotion.

i can imagine someone having a son accused and convicted of murder of a police officer, and having to look him in the face as he is released from prison just a short few years later. this comes under the heading of BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU WISH FOR.

now, turn that around. how can that same parent look the family of the slain police officer in the face after their son was released only a few short years later.

even worse, how can that parent look the family of the NEXT police officer that their son kills in the face?

who's fault would THAT be? each and every person yelling for leniency for that "poor kid" who heinously killed the police officer.

imagine how slow the response time would be if that parent ever needs to make an emergency 9-1-1 call.

there is no reason to ban this form of punishment, except to say that juveniles murdering isn't something that they should be punished for.

i love to hear the liberals parade out the ONE victim that holds his beloved's attacker no ill will, and (occasionally) doesn't even want them to be punished. i'm sure that's what the liberals thought in this case.

one flint television station now has cancelled airing the interview conducted with the wife of the slain police officer, after she "at first said" that she didn't want to have the juvenile that attacked her police officer husband punished, "then later, in the interview" changed her mind and called for his head on a platter.

how embarassed must the left be if they won't allow the interview to air?

i see that no one can provide any NON-EMOTIONAL REASONS to ban giving life sentences to juveniles.

no reasons of substance have been brought forward, so there must be none.
