    Tax Exempt Vets

This Legislation is already in effect in Florida but you must be 100% disabled.

    What's the verification?

Vets are exempt under current law if the VA paid for "adaptive housing" -- ramps, bars, etc. The VA issues a letter/certificate. The exemption stays for a widowed spouse, too. Under the proposed law, what is the verification? My husband's VFW magazine has had several stories about "wanna-bes" who claim service or service-related disabilities but they have never served at all!

    PASS THIS BILL

I am 100% service connected and recieve $2610 a month in benefits. I CANNOT purchase a reasonable priced home (say $130000.00) on my income, the payment with property taxes is $1070.00 (try that payment on $2610.) but with out property taxes the payment would be $835. and I can do that. There are only approxiamtely 3600 current 100% disabled veterans in the state, so the financial impact is minimal on the state and communities. I want to own a home!

    verification is simple

The VA will give you a letter of proof that you are recieving at the 100% rate.. you don"t have to worry about wannabes!! This bill should have passed 50 years ago!!
