voo-doo that you do that causes them to trespass on your property.
maybe it's the fact that you LET THEM DO IT that causes them to come on REPEATEDLY and do it again.
maybe IT IS YOUR FAULT and you just won't admit it.

everyone that buys one automatically rides it onto your property.
if, as you say, there are SO FEW OF THEM, it shouldn't be THAT HARD for the cops to find the ones riding on your property.
oh, wait... THEY CAN'T DO THAT!!!! it would be against the chief's directives.
gotta save the taxpayer's money in the little burg you live in.
tell me where you live, i'm an ex cop, and i'll find the little miscreants, and i'll only bill you a few thousand dollars to do it. whaddaya say?
you haven't made your case, you have just 'cut-and-pasted' your way into a corner that you can't whine your way out of.
the FIRST way ORV's bring prosperity is to the person who is SAVING THEIR MONEY TO BUY ONE.
the SECOND way ORV's bring prosperity is to the person who is selling them.
the THIRD way ORV's bring prosperity is to the person who sells the owner gas, helmets, jackets, boots, you know, all that gear they need to be prepared to ride.
the FOURTH way ORV's bring prosperity is to the person who maintains them.
the FIFTH way ORV's bring prosperity is to the community that they serve whenever they provide NECESSARY SERVICES such as search and rescue, emergency evacuation, and ice rescue. this is why EVERY POLICE DEPARTMENT IN MICHIGAN IS GOING TO HAVE AT LEAST ONE AS SOON AS JENNIE GETS OUT OF OFFICE AND WE CAN FINALLY AFFORD THEM.
now, what are you going to say when your local cops are 'tearing up the streets' on ORV'S?

a few things to think about...
1. not every ORV rider will trespass on your property.
2. not every police department is as inept as yours is.
3. maybe if you called them out when you hear that awful noise of every stick of nature being ripped from mother earth, they'd have a chance of catching the little miscreants.
4. if the police department CAN'T OR WON'T do anything about it, do something yourself. go out there and confront the little bastids, tell them they are trespassing, and tell them to leave.
in other words, take some responsibility. don't just accuse others of things they haven't done.
i'm curious, which town do you live in? if everybody else can ride on your property, maybe MORE people can. i'm gonna go there and set up a ticket booth at wherever they are coming onto your property, and split the prosperity with you.

blaming EVERY ORV rider for the ones who ride illegally on your property.
you are also making sure I don't have the right to ride on the side of roads that i helped pay for, because you are bitter about some trespassers.
remember, they are PUBLIC roads, and i have a right to ride on them.
they are NOT private roads, and if you wish, you can have yourself disconnected from the public road system. all you have to do is buy MORE land, build your own roads, and voila'. your problems are solved, except for that nagging little problem you seem to have with law enforcement not doing their job.
i keep telling you, say which town it is, and i'm SURE that the level of service will improve.

This Bill Is Not About Snowmobiles
It is about expanding the running range of ORVs.
ORVs do not bring wealth or prosperity to the areas they run over. The bring noise, pollution, torn up ground, litter, trespass and vandalism problems. They diminish the quality of life for residents in those areas, and the quality of experience for other visitors in those areas.
This is a bad bill.

I Don't Blame The Vehicle
But I do observe that noise, pollution, torn up ground, litter and trespass and vandalism problems are observed to occur in greater concentration where ORVs run than where they don't.
Expanding the range over which ORVs run invariably expands the noise, pollution, torn up ground, litter, trespass and vandalism that runs with them.
ORVs are not a boon to the areas they run over. They are a bane.
This bill is bad legislation.

Posted by an evident ORV fan:
“by the way, i don't CARE that michigan law differentiates between ORV'S and SNOWMOBILES.”
Isn’t it interesting, that boastful confession of not caring about Michigan law?
Well, that’s the problem with ORVs. Where they run, they bring noise, pollution, torn up ground and problems associated with "we don't care about the law" behavior like litter, trespass and vandalism.
This bill seeks to expand the range in which ORVs are allowed to run and bring their noise, pollution, torn up ground, litter, trespass and vandalism along for the joy ride.
ORVs don’t bring prosperity or wealth to areas they run over. They bring a diminished quality of life for residents and other visitors who enjoy less intrusive pursuits and wish to exist in peace and harmony with neighbors and others.
This bill is a bad piece of legislation.

Get Back Into Your prriuse
and go hug your tree. let the rest of us that want to have fun alone. You may even like riding if you tried it. Probably not though, you sound like one of those folks that thinks they will live forever if they eat tofu, never drink and never smell a cig or cigar burning. Let me know how that works out for you.
This would be fine except that your kind is never happy until you suck every bit of enjoyment out of life for all of us.
Even if your miserable existance enables you to live 5 more years, it ain't worth it. No friends, no fun? Pititful. I'll take a four wheeler, a few bud lights after the ride and a good cigar.

all the way up until you get to the cigar...
never developed the habit...
i've always been told that "there is nothing like the smell of a good cigar"... but burning rubber comes awful close.
so, you enjoy one for me.
happy riding..

I Have No Quarrel With People Having Fun Alone
But ORV riding is not having fun alone.
The machines are noisy. They bring pollution, torn up ground, litter, and problems with vandalism and trespass where they run. ORVs bring intrusion and conflict.
These nasty effects fall invariably and heavily on people who only want to be left alone to have their own fun and enjoyment without impinging on anyone else. Their quality of life is diminished as a result of ORVs running over the area in which they live or recreate.
This bill seeks to expand the territory over which ORVs can run. It is in an insult to the vast majority of Michigan citizens who wish to live in peace, quiet and harmony with their surroundings and neighbors.
This bill is a bad legislative proposal.
