    at what point does that

infant become "it's own body"? why do you want to kill it in the birth canal? what possible reason can you give for such a cruel and heinous killing of an individual? what did that infant do to deserve to have it's brains sucked out? maybe YOUR mother should have had a PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION. democrats SAY they are for the people, but they PROVE that they care not for the people. democrats brought us BIG GOVERNMENT. democrats brought us HIGH TAXES. democrats brought us ABORTION (KILLING) ON DEMAND. the democratic party is the party of hipocracy (lying) and you WON'T even see it. now i am sure i understand why the democrats are called the GRANOLA party. it's full of FRUITS, NUTS, AND FLAKES.

have you ever been to the

ninth ward? there is nothing there for them to take, except some old houses on some old streets. there is a restaraunt or two, but thats about it. there is a big canal running through it, and some railroad tracks. the OWNERS of all that SECTION 8 housing would have been GLAD to sell to "CORPORATE AMERICA" IF THEY WOULD HAVE ASKED. hasn't happened in sixty years, i doubt it'll happen anytime soon. no one is 'snapping up' the land now, so i'm not sure where this "corporate america" thing is coming from. land was cheap, and available before, now it's cheaper and more available. but STILL no corporate america. why aren't they buying it all now? BECAUSE THEY NEVER WANTED TO! thank you for your paranoia.

    what ...

do you propose to reduce the cost of operating Michigan prisons? no rants. no BS. no made up facts 'n' figgers. just a proposal that's reality-based and doable.
  • 04-20-2007 1:50 PM In reply to

    reality based.

if the state legislature simply cut the amount of dollars per inmate per day, it would reduce spending by that much IMMEDIATELY. you can't tell me that it takes over 100 dollars a day to keep ONE inmate locked up, fed, clothed, and warm. it doesn't take that much in 40 other states, and the ones that are higher are using the money to pay for frivolous lawsuits brought on by bored inmates. i'm not saying to cut the funding completely, but at least bring it down to the national average. many people are saying that the inmates have to pay for 'extras', and that is not a bad thing in the grand scheme of things, but those are all things that the STATE doesn't have to pay for. all i'm asking for is the most 'BANG' for the buck. MORE can be done with LESS. 40 other states are doing it, why can't we? the best prison law library is in a state that pays 18 dollars per inmate per day. the only answer to the "corruption question" (where is this money going?) is to say that it MUST be going into someone's pocket, as it CERTAINLY isn't going to efficiently running the jails and prisons. cutting the per inmate per day payment will FORCE EFFICIENCY. yes, there MAY be cuts in services, but this has NOT happened in other states. if there ARE cuts, it will give us another reason to look even closer at prison spending. by simple demanding of accountability, we will see dramatic improvements in the services we recieve for the amount of money we spend.
  • 04-20-2007 2:04 PM In reply to

    perhaps reality based

is what the system needs now. do YOU get 100 dollars a day to live? PROBABLY NOT. why does it take 100 dollars a day to keep an inmate in prison in michigan? we ARE NOT building new prisons. we ARE NOT using crumpled dollar bills to heat the joint. we ARE NOT building nuclear power plants to keep the lights on. we DO NOT have one guard per inmate. what is the CAUSE OF SUCH HIGH EXPENSES? what do we give inmates that costs us 100 dollars plus a day? do we REALLY need to keep giving them that??? the average michigander could LIVE WELL for 100 dollars a day. show me what IN REALITY we get for our 100 bucks a day, and MOST OF US will be happy to pay it. so far, we haven't seen a DRASTICALLY BETTER PRISON SYSTEM for our DRASTICALLY HIGHER PER INMATE PER DAY PAYMENT.
  • 04-20-2007 2:16 PM In reply to

    so now you've done

a nice job of criticizing. and ranting. as usual. but what's your proposed solution to the prison costs you love to complain complain about. no rants, for a change. no BS, for a change. no gassy lectures, for a change. just a reality-based, doable proposal. time for you to put up or shut up. even though you most likely will do neither.
  • 04-20-2007 2:25 PM In reply to

    you obviously

don't read very well, do you. i ALREADY HAVE posted my realistic, do-able ideas.
  • 04-20-2007 2:26 PM In reply to

    hey dipweed....

read the post marked 'reality based'. read it carefully. THEN post again.
  • 04-20-2007 2:30 PM In reply to

    okay, now that you have

read my proposals, please answer the questions of where does the money go. what do we get for our one hundred dollars a day? who is reaping the tremendous windfall of our stupidity?
  • 04-20-2007 2:33 PM In reply to

    i've see no proposals

just rants. BS. and windy lectures. if you really object to the cost of operating Michigan prisons, what do you propose to fix the problem, in concrete terms, in a reality-based, doable manner. just answer the question without further rants and fertilizer spewing.
  • 04-20-2007 2:37 PM In reply to

    read the post.

there is no ranting. no bullshit. no fantasy. it is FACT BASED AND DO-ABLE. but you choose to ignore it.
  • 04-20-2007 2:45 PM In reply to

    okay.

how's this. we put all the democrats out of office immediately. we vote in only republicans and libertarians from now on. we institute the death penalty. we make sure that judges only give SPECIFIC TIME, not any of this 'minimum/maximum' bullshit. we only pay 50 dollars per inmate per day, and NO MORE. we DON'T RELEASE INMATES UNTIL THEIR SENTENCE IS UP. that will get rid of the parole board, which is unnecessary. that will also get rid of probation officers, which will also be unnecessary. that will cause HALF OF WHAT WE ARE PAYING TODAY to be freed up to spend elsewhere, TODAY. this may also DETER some criminals from committing crimes. but don't bet on it. all of these things are REALITY BASED, AND DO-ABLE, but not by democrats. you want any more good ideas, just ask.
  • 04-20-2007 2:48 PM In reply to

    now, what do YOU

propose? our governor proposed RELEASING INMATES. our governor proposed (and did) fire policemen. our governor proposed CLOSING A PRISON THAT WAS ALREADY PAID FOR SO WE WOULD HAVE TO BUILD ANOTHER ONE. i hope you aren't going to propose any of those ideas...
  • 04-20-2007 2:55 PM In reply to

    no ...

the question is, since you are making such a big deal over Michigan's per prisoner costs, what exactly do you propose to trim those costs, in concrete terms, reality-based and doable? no rants. no BS. no more demanding answers from others. just answer the question. or we'll have to assume you have no answers.
  • 04-20-2007 3:56 PM In reply to

    the state SETS

THE COSTS. therefore, all it has to do is DECIDE TO CUT THE COSTS. there are no magical incantations, no strangling of chickens, only a decision to make it so. nothing CONCRETE needs doing, just a decision to SPEND LESS. i don't know why you think that there is any PROCEEDURE that must be followed to reduce spending. there wasn't one necessary to INCREASE spending, why do you believe that there is one to DECREASE spending? it MIGHT take some sacrifices on the part of the legislators, who seem to enjoy spending way too much of our money, but that's about it. a series of letters may be necessary to inform all interested parties that the state WILL NOT be overspending any more. just a decision. costs nothing, saves millions.
  • 04-20-2007 4:24 PM In reply to

    answer the question

and quit being a ranting gasbag. what is your concreate, reality-based and doable proposal for cutting Michigan's prison operating costs on a per-prisoner basis? no more rants. no more BS. your refusal to answer and repeated rant indicates that you don't have an answer. just gas. what a joke.

i actually agree 100% with you. not about the doing whatever with the democrats and all that. i really could care less who is in office. but all that stuff about getting rid of maximum/minimums and all that, i couldn't agree more. i've always said that, on paper, TIS is really not that bad. however, they don't follow it the way it was written. what you said is, basically, what TIS was really ment to be and that is actually, basically, how every other state that has TIS follows it. in theory, your plan is perfect. however, your plan would cut out alot of politicians (such as parole board members) from getting their money and whatever other benifits they get. that will never happen

i STILL don't see ANY ideas from your side. nothing CONCRETE, nothing DOABLE, NOTHING. you guys figured out how to get is IN this mess, now all you have to do is figure out how to get us OUT. hope you are happy under your bridge,TROLL.

you say all that over the computer

people have been calling me ninja since i was 14. i have been in martial arts since i was 5. and, yes, there are still ninjas around. i don't have time to go into a history lesson (not that you would listen or are even intellegent enough to understand, anyway), but it's true. and, besides from that, i was also trained by the united states army. (airborne infantry). so, quit all that tough talk and just be yourself. you ain't got to lie to kick it. everyone loves you for the gay bitch that you are. as a matter of fact, from this day forth, you will be known as "Bitch That is Gay".
  • 04-20-2007 5:02 PM In reply to

    it will if we

DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY. that's what i've been saying all along. it doesn't take an act of congress to lower the per inmate per day payment, just a memo. it takes a firm decision, and dedication to DOING THE RIGHT THING. which is why we should FIRE ALL THE DEMOCRATS NOW!!!
  • 04-20-2007 5:03 PM In reply to

    SORRY,

who taught you how to READ? NOT THE ARMY, NOT THE MARTIAL ARTS INSTRUCTOR WHO IS PROBABLY WISHING HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU NOW THAT YOU HAVE ADMITTED TO NOT FOLLOWING THE CORE PRECEPTS OF YOUR 'ART'. i was taught by honorable men and women, who would definately kick my ass if i screwed up as badly as you did. you don't care about honor or tradition, which is why you went to jail, and not on to a career in the military. you only care about yourself.

    hey ninja.

other than in MOVIES, where are there ninjas?
  • 04-20-2007 5:20 PM In reply to

    answer the question

you have complained -- ranted -- almost endlessly here about the per-prisoner cost of incarceration in Michigan. the best you can come up with is "write a memo" and "demand accountability." in other words, your proposal is to throw paperwork and hot air at the problem. that's pure lib-think BS if ever we saw any. we conservatives expect concrete, reality-based, doabl solutions, not just rants. so what do you propose as a concrete, reality-based and doable solution to the imprisonment cost problem? no more rants. no more gasbag stuff. no more BS. your eely maneuvers simply tell us you have no answers. (nobody's surprised, though) just answer the question. it's time for you to to put up or shut up.
  • 04-20-2007 5:52 PM In reply to

    you obviously can't

or WON'T read, and if you did, you are DEFINATELY NOT INTELLIGENT ENOUGH to understand. conservatives demand results. the legislature cutting spending would give those results. this is impossible for you to fathom, as you are not a conservative, but a liberal. i've told you what the simple, effective, do-able solution is. now DO IT.
  • 04-20-2007 5:54 PM In reply to

    do you know the

proceedure that was followed to RAISE the per inmate per day costs as high as they are? legislators simply DID IT. no special session, no legislation, just DOING IT. IT DIDN'T EVEN TAKE A MEMO, just legislative hot air. if you refuse to demand accountability, then you are as big of a cause of the problem as they are.
  • 04-20-2007 5:59 PM In reply to

    ranting and complaining.

i don't see any ranting or complaining in the posts that describe cutting the payment for per-inmate-per-day expenses. in fact, the only ranting and complaining that i hear comes from you. now, if you would listen, instead of ranting and complaining, maybe you would get the answers to the questions you have. but you won't, will you? of course not. by the way, the state i was born in only pays 18 dollars per inmate per day, and they are doing just fine.

    Think before you pass.

Well the Virgina Tech Killer got out of the Mental Hospital for his "good" behavior. look where that got us. I think this example should be enough to shut down this purposal. It's ridiculous to even be thinking of something like this when Michigan is all of 950 million in debt. Governor Granholm needs to start looking at the bills instead of giving them the cold shoulder. Their was a bill on her desk saying that if we put a 1% tax on Services, then our deficit will go down. Thats what she needs to be doing, not worrying about letting Convicted villians out early on account of their "good" behavior.
  • 04-21-2007 5:58 AM In reply to

    you're right

that conservatives demand results. that's why i keep telling you to answer the question. but what you give back is as a "proposed solution" to the high cost of incarcerating a Michigan convict is pure and classic liberal hot air -- "write a memo" and "demand accountability" -- throw paper and words at the problem. sheesh! you have complained at length about these costs. so now what is your concrete -- that is, real -- proposed solution, reality based and doable? answer the question. no more of your rants. no more of your hot air. no more BS. you repeated refusal to answer, and your evasions tells us you don't have an answer. just rants, gas and BS. but we'll give you another chance, anyway. it's amusing to watch you squirm.
  • 04-21-2007 11:39 AM In reply to

    here it is.

pass a law that demands that the PER-INMATE-PER-DAY rate not exceed 50 dollars per inmate. concrete enough for you? OF COURSE NOT. YOU ARE TOO STUPID TO UNDERSTAND.
  • 04-21-2007 12:07 PM In reply to

    the only refusal here

is YOUR refusal to ACCEPT the answer. but that's part of your game. don't accept the OBVIOUS ANSWER, only a politically convoluted idea that allows the "same old-same old" to continue unchecked. you sure you aren't JENNIE?
  • 04-21-2007 12:10 PM In reply to

    kind of tells you where

her "heart and mind" is, doesn't it? she SAYS that she wants to cure the ills of michgian. she DOES release inmates and fire cops. she SAYS that she wants to bring business here. she DOES increase taxes. by the way, the 'service tax' will not bring this state into prosperity. CUTTING SPENDING ON UNNECESSARY PROGRAMS WILL. will she DO IT? HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!! she hasn't done it in FIVE YEARS. why should she START NOW?
  • 04-21-2007 1:58 PM In reply to

    just answer the question

no more liberal claptrap -- "write a memo" and "demand accountability." paperwork and lip service. sheesh. the question is, what -- in concrete, reality-based, doable terms -- do you propose be done about the high per-prisoner cost of incarceration in Michigan? you've complained about the cost incessantly here. now it's time to put up or shut up,, nanny-stater. conservatives demand concrete, reality-based, doable solutions from people who complain about problems. no BS. no ranting. no gas. you evasions and liberal claptrap tell us you have no answers. but there's alway room for a miracle, so we leave the door open for you, just in case something concrete, reality based and doable pops into your Kool-Aid soaked brain. meanwhile, we can have a few more good laughs at your expense.
  • 04-21-2007 2:14 PM In reply to

    True

True this service tax wont get us out of debt. But it will make a start, which is a hell of alot more then what were doing now. Which is NOTHING. WEll of course besides letting criminals out of jail. But thats about it.

this really isn't the place for a history lesson, but...

prince yamato is considered to be the first ninja. the oldest know art of ninjutsu was created by daisuke nishina in 1161, in the togakure villlege in the togakure mountains. (daisuke nishina later changed his name to daisuke togakure, after the togakure vilege). ninjutstu had 3 main uses. sabatoge, espionoge, and assassination. ninjas were heavily in use until the 1600's. then, in 1602, tokugawa ieasu became shogunate of japan. when that happened japan came out of civil war and was at peace. the ninja were not really needed anymore. alot of them turned to crime. and that's where you get the yakuza (japanese mafia). which, as you know, is still a big part of japan today. they are present day ninjas. also, the art of ninjutsu is still practiced today by many (including me). maasaki hatsumi is the present grandmaster of the 9 traditions that make up ninjutsu. he also is a ninja. please, i told you that this is what i study.
