part of responsibility is
being AWARE OF THE CONSEQUENCES of your actions.
what are the CONSEQUENCES of releasing prisoners?
no one seems to believe that they will be ROBBING PETER, and we'll still have to PAY PAUL.
reduce spending on programs that, while they make the average liberal citizen of michigan FEEL GOOD, they produce NO RESULTS.
if all this inmate education initiative isn't producing PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS, then cut the spending for it.
we are putting criminals INTO the system, and are still getting criminals OUT of the system, AFTER we have paid to educate them not ONCE, BUT TWICE. once by the school system, which didn't "stick" and once AGAIN, by the prison system, which isn't "sticking" either.
if a man refuses to be educated, so be it.
he is stupid, he should be TREATED AS SUCH.
giving him a THIRD TRY after TWO REFUSED ATTEMPTS is futile, and cost prohibitive. STOP DOING IT.

has nothing better to do, and nothing better to say.
let the children play.
they'll soon grow bored and go play with themselves again.
michigan constitution, article 1. Sec. 6.
Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state.
keep your powder dry.
"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Bovard 1994

These bills are not .....
opening a flood gate of inmates coming out. They basically are just enforcing the minimums when the inmate has recieved no misconducts. 40% of inmates are in the eyes of the law over their eligible release date why if they have completed their required classes and have remained misconduct free should they not be able to go at their minimum?

tis is not helping. true, there are some that belong in prison (i.e. rapists and some murders), but there is also alot that don't belong there. most people are in prison for non-violent, low level offenses. they are not a threat to anyone but themselves. they are mostly drug addicts and people that just made dumb decisions. they aren't people that wake up every day and plan out mastermind criminal plan after plan. anyone who supports tis has been misinformed and needs to do some more research on the subject. maybe then they'll see that it is all bullshit. now there will be some that say all that stuff about how tis preserves the integrity of the justice system and all that garbage that they've been brainwashed to believe through goverment propoganda. i say to you that any system that uses plea bargins (especially as much as the michigan justice system does) has no integrity. for instance: guy rapes a little girl. he is charged with 1st degree rape (witch, by definition, he did). however, since the court doesn't want to spend the money to take him to trial, they offer him a plea bargin. they say that, if he pleads guilty, they will drop the 1st degree down to a 3rd degree. now he pleads guilty to a 3rd rape charge (witch, by definition, doesn't even begin to descibe what he did) and, because he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, his max will be lower and his sentencing guidelines (on the minimum) will go down. so, instead of serving 5 years-life (or something of that nature) on a 1st degree rape charge (witch he actually did) he gets 2 years-15 years (if that) on a 3rd degree rape charge. now, why don't YOU go tell that little girl, that he raped, that, because nobody wanted to spend the money to take this guy to trial he will get less time and never serve a day for the charge that he actually committed. however, due to tis, he'll do every day of that lesser charge. if that makes sence to you, fuck you. and, for information puposes, there are about 30 states that have tis. michigan is the only one that still has a parole board. figure that one out. if you don't belive me, check the CAPPS website. anyway, obviously, i don't support tis. by the way, i speak from experience. i did 3 1/2 years. i've seen it all first hand.
