    Exactly Who

do you morons think will pay this? The garbage company? Wrong. The landfill operator? Wrong. The guy who puts his garbage at the curb will be the only one paying for this. This is an attempt by a mental midget in government (now I'm repeating myself) to try to show all the good and ignorant sheeple that he is doing something good for michganistan. Canadian trash is evil unless it fills his pockets with money. Any person that can't see through this scam shouldn't be allowed to vote anyhow. Please play solitaire all day long and quit trying to help us, I don't know how much more of your "help" we can afford. Part Time Legislature NOW

    And it will

effect businesses even more. Curbside pickup is one thing but I have two large dumpsters at my business. This tax will raise my cost of doing business about (another)$1,000 a year. What a great place to do business. Furthermore, what the hell is the difference between Michigan trash and Canadian trash? It's not like the stuff is being dumped in someone's back yard! It goes into landfills that were engineered to dispose of waste and approved by the state. These waste companies invested their money with every intention of doing business with Canada and now their investment is fouled up by these morons in Lansing (oh and by the way, thanks Paul W. Smith on WJR, supposed conservative who pushed for a "solution" to this "problem"). It's no wonder so many people are moving out. I have millions of dollars invested here and my business is now worth about a third less than it was five years ago because of all of this crap. I'd move too if I could afford to.

    Right

I had a place in canada. When you put your trash out if you don't separate the recycleables they throw it out on the ground. i had them take pizza boxes and bottles out and leave them for me. Canadian trash is pretty darn clean. The only thing this does is steal more of OUR MONEY and make the stupid people think that our idiots in lansingistan are saving us from some boogie man. Pathetic.

    Wow, another tax increase

Surprise surprise. These people are just plain dumb. Sorry, there is no way to sugar coat it. Amazing that they think that raising taxes on the garbage business will give us less of it, but raising taxes on other businesses won't. Pathetic.

    Lipstick on a pig.

Another tax. Why take money out of my pocket and promise to give it back? Believe me, 75% of these funds will remain with the state. They have no intentions of giving the "tax money" back. Your city will need to have curbside recycling to even be considered for a refund and curbside ain't cheap.
