2007 Senate Bill 92 (Exempt biofuels fats from strict environmental law regulation )

Introduced in the Senate on January 25, 2007, to exempt fats and other materials used to produce biofuels from the definition of liquid industrial wastes (which are subject to more rigid environmental law regulation). The bill would also prohibit the storage of liquid industrial waste for longer than one year, revise some regulations on generators and transporters of liquid industrial waste, and revise provisions concerning action that must be taken in the event of a discharge or spill of liquid industrial waste

The vote was 36 in favor, 0 opposed and 2 not voting

(Senate Roll Call 463 at Senate Journal 115)
