    educator/taxpayer

I think this proposal will create more cost/time than it will be worth. The ave. citizen/consumer knows sales tax is just a part of life. It's a one time deal. Find something else to spend your time/efforts on that will benefit all (taxpayers)- not just the school age families! This is coming from a school age family/educator!!!!!!!!!

    Designer clothes!!!

This is a very poor idea. What kind of school items need to cost $100 /per item? Only designer clothes- which are not necessary for school. If parents are buying high priced items for their children for school, the parents can afford the sales taxes.

    Item Cost

Some of the more advanced calculators that you would need for the AP math classes could possibly cost that much. I agree with you though -- if the parents can afford $100 items, they can pay the tax.

not the point of a tax cut...

the point of a tax cut is to keep EVERYBODY from paying a tax. either because the tax is punitive, or redundant. the previous poster is truly exhibiting "liberal think" in this matter.

Illinois Introduced Something Similar to This

Illinois introduced something similar to this. It was most successful when combined with other cost effective programs like schools having textbook rental programs (for college students). Seems like a good idea, but the most you will save is $6 on a $100 purchase. If there is a cap like that, what is the point. What exactly are we trying to make affordable? Tax becomes unyielding when the cost is over $100.

The bill seems to be with a high value than a normal billing system. Maybe this is the solution for the health insurance too. implant dentar bucuresti

I don't want them to come up with too many holiday taxes. Luckily enough holiday packages like are not affected and hawaii vacation hotels are still affordable because going all over the pacific for a decent holiday is very expensive nowadays. I guess we have Mexico in the end as well but I love the conditions in Hawaii more than anything.
