MANDATING what a parent MUST do, as opposed to allowing a parent to decide upon the benifits/risks involved for themselves. it assumes that parents are stupid, and the state knows better. it also assumes that all girls are sexually active before 16. both are insulting to most parents, but no more so than having another CHOICE taken away.

If you don't want it, opt out. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

eradicating cancer. i'm not AT ALL for being MANDATED to do it. there was NO attempt to offer this to the public as a PUBLIC SERVICE, it was just ASSUMED that every sixteen year old girl is sexually active, and thus needs this protection, and that the parents weren't bright enough to figure this was a good thing. (so, maybe, just maybe, it ISN'T)it was just MANDATED. even horses don't like sugar JAMMED DOWN THEIR THROATS.

that assumed that she was sexually active, it's the state. i've read posts from people who rail for days about the "injustice" of mandatory drug testing for welfare recipients, and the same crowd stands by idly about mandatory vaccination for sixteen year old girls aginst a sexually transmitted disease.
