I think it's time to get rid of this archaeic law!

    trying to stop

the consumption of alcohol by regulating it has been tried before, and it has failed. the idea of catering to the religious interests of the state is a good one in theory, but even the ultra religious understand that whether or not somebody else drinks on a sunday is none of their business. or at least they SHOULD. it's funny how liberals spout myth and rhetoric about "separation of church and state" everywhere but here. do you think that they would separate themselves from the church if the church quit giving them money in the form of campaign contributions?

I strongly support the proposed legislation, and urge its passage.

    how is it moral

to try and stop someone else from drinking? what does it matter to someone else if I take a drink? it's no one's business but mine.

i'll bet this will get a lot of comments.

this way the people that don't idenify themselves on this thread can start earlier on sunday. they can run to the store in the a.m., get thier booze, and be in the basement sucking em down before thier neighbor gets up. they can then have enough courage to go to church !!!

    why is what anyone

else drinks important to you? why is WHEN anyone else drinks important to you? every time somebody says "give me a beer", tax money is collected. if these guys want to buy beer 24 hours a day, seven days a week, that's fine with me. that's less taxes i'll have to pay. of course, jenny will probably use the extra tax money to pay for something useful, like higher tax legislation.

    how much

liquid courage do YOU need to go to church?
  • 01-11-2007 4:27 PM In reply to

    what's wrong

with being able to buy alcohol at any hour of any day?
  • 01-14-2007 10:06 AM In reply to

can you name one thing that isn't taxed.

or regulated in the state of michiganistan ????? that is why so many people and busniesses are heading out. when i go to indiana, i buy diesel for $2.28 per gallon. in michiganistan it's $2.59 per gallon. ALL TAX !!! needless to say i shop for the cheaper fuel. when i do that michiganistan doesn't get the tax $$$$. more people should do this, more people should shop out of state. this would send a message to JENNY that we are tired of this communist rule that hurts the people in this state as a whole.

    I'm not leaving yet.

That's Governor Jennifer Granholm, to you.
  • 01-15-2007 1:07 PM In reply to

You must be christian reform if you are so worried about when your neighbor

drinks or doesn't drink. Judge not. I hear they tattled on a teacher for going in on a Sunday to get some work done at school. GET A LIFE.
  • 01-15-2007 1:09 PM In reply to

I suck 'em down whenever the mood strikes me!

I have so little time to do it now that I'm a "grown up" that I'd like to drink WHENEVER the rare opportunity strikes.
  • 01-15-2007 1:10 PM In reply to

According to the date, Granholm is the winner.

Get over it, already, geez! Have a beer and chill.
  • 01-15-2007 1:11 PM In reply to

Well, on the bright side, if they leave, then less pollution

    :)
  • 01-15-2007 1:12 PM In reply to

my bad, according to the data

Have a drink, anytime you like.
  • 01-15-2007 1:12 PM In reply to

Absolutely nothing is wrong with buying alcohol any time of the day

    Cheers.

Last time I checked it was a free country, including freedom of religion

or the freedom to HAVE NO RELIGION. What anyone does at any time of the day or week should be no one else's business unless it interferes with the other person's pursuit of happiness. For instance, if someone was LOUD at 3 a.m., you could call the police.
  • 01-15-2007 1:22 PM In reply to

It should be NOBODY's business what you do on Sunday or don't do!

Who cares if you go to church any day of the week at all? I go to the Church of Disney. Good usually wins over evil. It sends a GREAT message. Some would say that Disney actually teaches the original "WAY" that Jesus intended in the first place (see bloodline.) I never knew that as a child, but Disney sends some good messages. I watched it EVERY Sunday (religously lol.) If, as an adult, I make the choice NOT to go to church and drink martinis in my underwear at 7:00 in the morning made with alcohol that I JUST purchased and watch the Disney Channel because I find the message heartwarming and it helps me to be a better person, then deal with it. SUCK it up and join us in a new century. It will BE OK.

People might stay in MI if they didn't have silly a.m. liquor bans

    I support this bill.
