    Excuse Me???

I accept your contention that we must be more cautious with regards to child safety in transportation, but isn't this getting a bit ridiculous? A booster seat for a child of nine??? Especially, if said child is over 100 pounds!! In all respects, to take the law to its conclusion, my wife's sister (age 42) would be required to be in a booster seat in the back of the car. She is 4ft-9in and about 95 pounds. Isn't it funny that the child mortality rate remains stagnant even with all these proclaimations emminating from on high?

    2 weeks

How did this bill get this far in just 2 weeks when 4362 has been sitting over a year... Must be money talks wonder how much they are getting to push this stupid bill through...

    There is no data

That is why the State Police have no position on this legislation. They want to see data before taking a position. This is going to frustrate a lot of Mini Van car pools of elementary school kids if all 8 year olds or smaller lighter 9 and 10 year olds need booster seats. It hard to fit 3 boosters acroos some of those bench seats. Leaving the requirement to be 4 year olds as the current law does seems plenty to me.

    since when...

does not having data stop them from taking a position???
