Introduced in the House on March 28, 2006, to prohibit leaving a child unattended in a vehicle for a period of time that a reasonable person would determine poses a risk of harm or injury, or under circumstances that a reasonable person would determine pose a risk of harm or injury, punishable by up to 93 days in jail and/or a $500 fine. If the child suffers harm, serious harm or death the maximum penalties would be one year, 10 years, and 15 years respectively

This a needed bill, since it's the only way to wake up and control some people's stupidity. However, NO living creature should have too endure the extreme temperatures (hot or cold) that can be produced by a parked vehicle. Therefore, Rep. Amos should add pets to the context of this bill too.
