    2006 House Bill 5747 (Ban human trafficking )

    Introduced in the House on February 23, 2006, to ban subjecting another person to forced labor or service, including sex, by physical restraint or the threat of physical restraint; by threatening to abuse the law or legal processes; by destroying, concealing, removing, confiscating, or possessing a passport or other immigration document; by using blackmail, threatening to cause financial harm, or exerting financial control; and more. To also prohibit recruiting, enticing, harboring, transporting, providing, or obtaining by any means a minor if one knows that the minor will be used for child sexually abusive activity; or an adult or minor for forced labor. A penalty of up to life in prison would be authorized if the activity results in the death of another, and up to 10 years in other cases
