I am an avid long time Michigan Snowmobiler. I currently own four sleds. I oppose the HB5062. It has no merit, other then the State collecting an additional fee from snowmobile owners. Currently, the snowmobile is registered with the State, a fee is collected (every three years) and is in the Law Enforcement Lien System. Stolen sleds can be tracked using this system. The private Banking and Lending institutions should not be allowed to have business made an easier for them, while the snowmobile owner foots the bill. If they have a problem, let them pay for the solution!!!!
