    I could care less what....

my governor looks like. If I want to see a hottie, I go to a strip club... I would expect my governor to be able to do the job, and not get elected on looks.

No need to worry about that

She does what she needs to do to keep her man. You should try it sometime.
  • 11-08-2006 5:57 PM In reply to

It's human nature about the look. Science shows it.

She also is smart and a hard worker.
  • 11-08-2006 5:58 PM In reply to

I thought you were only in museums.

I didn't know there were people like you and your wife still in existence. WOW.

    People just TRUST Granholm MORE.

Maybe they weren't THRILLED with the economy, but she was the lesser of two evils BY FAR.

Grand Rapids knows DeVos FAR too well to vote for him, people.

    SORRY.
  • 11-08-2006 6:07 PM In reply to

Dick, does not represent the typical Michiganian.

TOO rich, too slick. He couldn't possibly understand their plight. A disconnect.

Not to mention his WIFE, she is vicious on education.

She just attacks, she doesn't SOLVE problems and neither does he.

I had the foresight to get out of engineering in manufacturing long ago

and moved on to a more stable position. I certainly feel for ANYONE who has had a setback in life, though.

    Freedom vs Stupidity

Freedom has nothing to do with wearing a safty device while operating an open "vehicle". Stupidity does. But if for some reason it passes and you bike riders don't have to wear a helmet, your insurance provider should make you sign a waiver, if your involved in a accident, your not covered if your not wearing a helmet and you cannont sue the other driver, even if at fault if your injured in said accident. I road bikes for a few years too. I just think its stupid to ride around on the open road without protection. No, "freedom" has nothing to do with it. It should just be a federal law and states who don't enforce it will loose all hwy funding. If that was true, we wouldn't be having this talk..
  • 11-09-2006 2:15 AM In reply to

    No helmet. No brain

Steve Erwin use to work with gators and other deadly animals for years. then one day, he was killed by a Stingray. 38 years? all it takes is on time and that 38 years means nothing. There are people in Iraq right now who have been inthe service for years. In combat on their 2 and 3rd tour. They wore body armor for the first 2 tours then on the 3rd, they feel it's too hot, to bulky and a hassle. So, they defy reason and take it off. 2 days laters, they take a round through the heart. Has nothing to do with experience, it's just a matter of when. Next thing we will here is having strait pipes are justified in populated areas.
  • 11-09-2006 2:19 AM In reply to

    Deny insurance

We wouldn't have to worry about this if riders had to sign a waiver that if they didn't wear helmets, they are not covered and cannot sue. Better yet, insurance companies just top selling insurance for motorbikes. No insurance, no registration, problem solved.
  • 11-09-2006 2:26 AM In reply to

    You are 100% correct

I should also have the choice of rather I want my insurance to pay for your stupidity when you smash your head. Rather I'm at fault or not. Yes FREEDOM OF CHOICE. Should be a 2 way street.
  • 11-09-2006 2:36 AM In reply to

    No way

Maybe you should spend 27 years working in a trauma unit. Then come back and see if your thoughts change. Next thing you'll say the safety of a BP vest doesn't provided any protection. So what if it saves just one life. It's worth it.
  • 11-09-2006 2:40 AM In reply to

    Open or closed?

Paper or plastic? Ever heard that? Don't were a helmet and the question is, Open or Closed casket? Open if you wear a helmet. Closed if you do not.
  • 11-09-2006 8:16 AM In reply to

    you are right.

i don't want MY insurance paying for YOUR STUPIDITY either. or any other accidents you may have. my insurance should cover ME. your GOVERNOR wants the state to pick up the tab that the insurance companies can't or won't pay. i don't think that is the PROPER ROLE OF GOVERNMENT.
  • 11-09-2006 11:06 AM In reply to

    Indeed.

No fault sucks. There's no two ways about it. It's redundant. It's expensive. It's existence is used as a false justification by some to limit others' choices. And Michigan will probably be the last state to repeal it.

You're a little late to the party...but...wow! Are you some kind of Communist living in an underground shelter who has his meals delivered? Oh-oh...there's a thunderstorm rolling in...better hide! What the hell has happened to Americans? Still helmet free and loving every minute of it in Colorado -- Jim Arvada
  • 11-09-2006 1:09 PM In reply to

    maybe you should

spend a few years wearing a bullet proof vest.

    reply to reply tc1uscg

how is he some kind of communist? everywhere else you go in this country (except other "no fault" states) you pay rates based on YOUR driving experience. you also pay rates based on what your vehicle is worth today. if you are billed for what it cost new a few years ago, then you should be paid based on THAT figure, not what it's worth today. to do otherwise is hipocracy.
  • 11-09-2006 1:30 PM In reply to

    oh, don't fret

Jimbo has the wacko idea that anybody who uses his brain must be a commie creep or something. He loves labeling and name-calling. Just doesn't know how to have a civil discussion about anything. Not somebody to be taken very seriously.
