    Are You Nuts?

Now tell me again that the imperial government doesn't want to take kids from parents. If you rob party stores you don't have your kids taken from you. We need a PART TIME LEGISLATURE. These folks have way too much time on their hands.

    Bill is superfluous

The judiciary already takes drunk driving as endangering a child. See the following COA case for proof: http://courtofappeals.mijud.net/documents/OPINIONS/FINAL/COA/20050419_C258776_28_258776.OPN.PDF Cut and paste into your browser address box. Rev. Randy Blair www.michiganvictimsofcps.org

    Hollywood's mom

My child has been victimised by his father more than once. He lost his teeth and has permenant scars. People need to remeber children have rights too! Being a parent is a privledge. If you can't treat your childrens lives as precious you don't deseve them! I applaude the efforts of any government official willing to fight for the innocent.

    Dumb

Driving while under the influence is a crime. If a child is also in the vehicle, it could be considered an aggravating circumstance. The crime is still operating while under the influence. Piggybacking crap like this just makes everything more complicated. A child placed at increased risk has been placed at increased risk; he has not been "abused." To call it abuse is to water down the real thing. What the heck, let's also prosecute drunk drivers for "flying" without a license; medicating without a prescription or, if they happen to be from Ohio, transporting alcohol across state lines.

    this is not fighting for

the innocent. if driving while intoxicated is child abuse, then so is driving while on a cell phone. both drivers are equally impaired. NOW who's the child abuser? and despite how many times it's mentioned on the news, or how many studies are quoted, it still won't become part of legislation to ban the use of cell phones in a moving car. drunks are evil. Soccer mom's aren't.

Get a dui, with child in car, loss right to drive

well, there was a case -a mother drove drunk plowed into a tree,a child not in seat belt died, windshield Courts convicted mother of involuntary manslaughter. There are laws already out there, courts should give dui records more notice, get 3dui's lost right to drive. make a law ,that "get a dui while a childs in car, loss right to drive. have to attend aa meeting.
