WHY did I not find out the concept of matriarchal society until 10th

grade AP English? I love that cartoon Liberty's Kids or something like that. The info that is out today is different from what we were taught as children. Or at least there were some big GAPS that I'm filling.

    i like lead...

it's a big part of my favorite hobby. i'm very careful around it. (as the late, great cajun JUSTIN WILSON once said, "i'm a safety man... i wear both a belt and suspenders.") one of the easiest ways to increase education is to help the student to educate himself.

    i don't know the

latest, but when i learned that it was not the "tax rebellion" story that i had been told, and in fact, it was supposedly fired to stop the british from emptying the town armory, i quickly wondered why i was kept from that little piece of information, and what else wasn't i told.

    and the more i looked...

the less i liked the specific kinds of information that was left out. this was during the time that new gun control measures were passing left and right, and i thought (nievely) that the government trusted us. it seemed like the "omissions" were following a path of removing resistance to government control. that personal liberties were downplayed, and individual responsibilities were not even part of the conversation.

    Re: Oregon and Washington

Not funny -- sad and pathetic. What a sad statement for us as a nation when the name of Jesus Christ has become just a swear word. What a sad statement for us as a nation when, even many who claim to be Christians, don't have a saving faith in Jesus Christ. What a sad statement for us as a nation when many people don't even own a Bible much less read it. Not funny, definitely not funny.
