    HB 6103

Fear not, this is not a mandate and it is not an additional cost. In fact, this will reduce your costs. You may opt for plate renewal every other year, and pay 10% LESS for each of those years, or stick with the present annual renewal and take the full 100% cost. This bill is designed as a cost reduction, for the driver and the Secretary of State's Office. If you choose to renew every 24 months, rather than every 12, you would pay less for each year than you would by renewing each individual year.

The only purpose of this bill is to save everyone money.

    Regards,

    Ken Braun
    Legislative Director
    Rep Leon Drolet

    Can you read?

I don't know what the problem with this bill is. It actually gives people a chance to avoid the hassle of renewing every year, and save money at the same time. Sounds great to me! One question - how much revenue might it drain from road repair, where much of these fees go?

When did that ever matter to lansing anyway?

They're already talking about shifting $100 Mil from the current transportation budget and shifting it towards other areas.
