2016 House Bill 5273

Senate Roll Call 687: Passed

To revise the “veto” a sentencing judge or the judge’s successor has over granting parole to a prisoner convicted of a serious crime. Under current law, a sentencing judge and his or her successor can veto a parole. The bill would repeal this for the successor judge.
