Senate Roll Call 336 on 2009 House Bill 4406
it would appear, inform, that the government simply wishes to create a list of the ethnicity of the recipients of abortions. this is the same thinking as creating a list of gun owners. seemingly harmless, unless you are on the list.
What business is it of the state to find out the ethnic background of an aborting mother? Even though I do not believe in abortion I have no right to force my beliefs upon another. What concerns me more about this bill is that it especially mandates reporting if the mother is of Hispanic origin. Is this how Rep. John Espinoza (D) views equity? Sig Heil - Big Brother!
