2009 Senate Bill 38: Tax break for public schools contributions

Passed 24 to 13 in the Senate on January 19, 2010 To authorize an income tax credit of $50 for a single filer, $100 for joint filers and $2,500 for trusts, for contributions to nonprofit “education foundations” that give money to public and private schools, but only for "nonessential supplies and assistance".
