Passed 37 to 1 in the Senate on December 18, 2008 To expand the scope of the law that authorizes local hotel, restaurant and rental car excise taxes to pay for municipal stadiums. The bill would lower a certain population standard, allowing Kalamazoo County and Kalamazoo to levy these taxes.
