2007 House Bill 4220 (Allow school board member to be unpaid extracurricular volunteer ) (Senate Roll Call 95)

Passed in the Senate (37 to 0) on February 28, 2008, to allow a school board member to be an unpaid volunteer coach or extracurricular activity supervisor in a school district if no other qualified volunteer is available. Current law prohibits a member of a governmental body (including a school board) from also being a paid employee.
