2007 Senate Bill 624: Revise presidential primary dates; require declaration of party (House Roll Call 327)
facebook  twitter

Passed 67 to 34 in the House on August 30, 2007, to set January 15 as the date for the 2008 presidential primary in Michigan, and require presidential primary voters to declare their party in order to vote. This information would not be made available to the public at large, but only to the parties, who would be subject to some restrictions on how they could use it (they could not sell the lists). Also, to establish date ranges for future presidential primaries (sometime between the second Tuesday in January and the fourth Tuesday in February); and establish procedures by which Democratic and Republican party chairs would determine the date. The bill would not require either party to hold a primary.

1) it happened because  by Anonymous Citizen on May 29, 2008
the DUMBOCRATS LET IT HAPPEN.

you guys thougt "oh,gee... let's MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!" and voted FOR these changes, or else they NEVER WOULD HAVE PASSED. (democrat control of congress and all that...)

now, you've shot yourself in the foot, and are trying to blame the other party for it. where was this indignation during the election? where was this indignation BEFORE the results were rejected in TWO states and the voter's rights were NULLIFIED?

the truth is, as long as it got SHRILLARY elected, you were ALL FOR IT.

statements like you make are the reason that we need a poll test. You try to blame the republicans for the mess your beloved commies have made of the dem primary. Those super delegates were created for the situation where the dems have pandered to idiots for so long that they cannot be allowed to pick a candidate.
We are now to that point.

3) What Are You Afraid Of?  by Anonymous Citizen on May 29, 2008
"yet some states make it mandatory to show your state id to vote"

This will make it harder for the dems/libs/socialists to get elected by the deceased bloc of voters. It will also stop that wonderful voting bloc that I like to call"get out the stupid vote" where the socialists drive a bus into the ghetto and give away wine for votes. You people disgust me. Only property owners should be allowed to vote. There was a good reason for it 200 and some odd years ago and there is a good reason for it today.
