Lee Gonzales (D) on July 23, 2008, to authorize the transfer of $13 million of drivers license fee money, which under current law must be used for economic development-related transportation infrastructure projects, to instead be used for other non-transportation state spending.

1) Trickery will get you no where by Anonymous Citizen on August 11, 2008There are two bills that I have seen, 6322 & 6323 that are requesting more taxes for fuel and for licience fees, that supposedly are asking for funds to be put into the transportation fund, and this one, wanting to transfer it out,,, and we elect these con artist into office to represent us. The thing is, most people will go to the voting booth, not realizing what they are even voting for, and the sad part is,, they will be the first to cry and whine that these idiotic bills, made it into law...
I am discusted with our State Government of late.
This another double-shuffle, bait-and-awitch tactic to confuse the taxpayers on who actually spent their highway tax money. I suggest Gonzalez's district voters express their displeasure at the voting booth.
