Authorize “gun violence restraining orders”

To authorize courts to order firearms to be seized from an individual based on a “reasonable cause to believe” that the person poses a “significant risk” of injury to himself or others. Family members, roommates or people in a close relationship with the target could petition a court to issue a “gun violence restraining order.” The bill prescribes standards and procedures for this, including an appeals process.
